About KGD old

Katy Fults

Owner and Designer of Katygirl Designs

Katy started her design knowledge in 2005 when she was required to know InDesign for a job. She did not know much back then, but after her son was born in 2010, she really began teaching herself Adobe Photoshop. In September of 2012, she opened Katygirl Designs on Etsy! She opened the KGD shop with 5 wall prints up for purchase using free fonts and cheap clip art. Since then, Katy has pushed herself to learn other Adobe design programs, how to draw, paint, and hand letter. Today she has prints, cards, calendars, and many other forms of work for sale. Katy works really hard to have an original look while staying fresh and trendy and it has been awesome to watch the KGD business grow to where it is now.
Katy has been married to her husband, Scott, for 13 years. He is loud, fun & crazy; she is quiet, calm & sarcastic - together they make a great pair. She has two children - Miles and Camden Jane - and a mini-dachshund, Dasher. Her biggest passion in life is the Gospel & for her children to know Jesus the way she knows him. She prays daily that they will shine their light so that others may know His love as well.
Some of the things Katy loves most are: Disneyland, laughing, coffee, good music, checkered Vans, the San Francisco Giants, a good conversation & a great joke, cooking, watching Jimmy Fallon with Scott, clothes & style, suspenseful books & podcasts, and a really, really good font.
P.S. She's a terrible dancer.

Sarah Jane Pearsey

The Greatest Assistant of All Time

Sarah started working for KGD in 2015 to manage all packaging & organization. She works really hard to make your experience with Katygirl Designs perfect - from coordinating washi on the packages to hand written notes in every order - we'd be lost without Sarah Jane! Sarah also keeps our office organized from ceiling to floor, manages inventory, and helps plan out the year for us. She basically keeps this office running.

Sarah Jane's been married to her husband, Ryan, for 14 years. He's wonderful and cute and she loves to go on dates with him as often as she can. She has 2 daughters - Charley Jane and Maddie Mae. They are a joy to be around and they all love playing games and having dance parties. They are actively involved in their church.

Some things that float Sarah Jane's boat: a good pair of jeans & a comfy pair of flip flops.  She enjoys the mountains and Hume Lake. She's a teacher on the side who is picky about what pen she uses (in fact, she hoards the pens in the KGD office like no one's business). She loves rainy days, swinging in the park, the SF Giants (YEAH BABY), road trips with windows rolled down, washi tape & vintage quilts. She's been known to eat dessert first and one of her life goals is to master baking the perfect chocolate chip cookie.

P.S. She's a much better dancer than Katy.
